Parent Portal & Resources

Hondo ISD values its partnership with parents and the community, and we continue to believe that, together, we can help every student succeed. With this in mind, HISD has created this portal to make resources available for parents.

ACCESS TO STUDENT RECORDS -- Skyward Gradebook Family Access Portal

CONSENT FOR HEALTH-RELATED SERVICES

SB12 required parental consent for students to receive School Health-Related Services (SHRS). In compliance with this new law, school districts must obtain consent from a parent or guardian before these services can be provided. School staff, including school nurses, are required to have written parent/guardian consent on file before providing any health-related services or medical care to students. In case of a serious emergency, staff will still act to protect your child's safety and contact you.

On Aug. 9, 2025, parents received a message explaining this process and a copy of the new form was sent home.

Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, this new form will be part of the annual back to school forms found in the Skyward Family Access.

We understand this is a significant change, and we appreciate your prompt attention to this important update. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your child's school nurse.

CONSENT FOR COUNSELING SERVICES

Students have the opportunity to receive short-term counseling services, as needed, provided by their campus school counselors. The purpose of counseling in this setting is designed to help the child develop the skills to resolve difficulties that may be interfering with academic and personal success.  Counseling is designed to assist the child in areas such as peer conflict resolution, decision making, improved behavior, social adjustment, and sadness or loss.  This short-term counseling process is aimed to help students learn how to work through problems and become more productive and motivated.  Counseling services provided by the school counselors are short-term and not intended to replace any services offered by outside licensed clinical counselors or therapists.  The format of services may be delivered either through small group or individual sessions.

The Counseling Consent Form was sent out on Aug 9, 2025 as an online Google form.

Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, this new form will be part of the annual back to school forms found in Skyward Family Access.

We understand this is a significant change, and we appreciate your prompt attention to this important update. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact your child's school counselor.
