Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
Meyer Elementary, Woolls Intermediate, McDowell Middle School, and Hondo High School will be participating in the CEP School Meal Program for school year 2026-2027. Students attending all campuses will receive one Free Breakfast and one Free Lunch daily, and will not be required to complete an application to receive meals free of charge. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.

Special Dietary Needs or Food Allergies
Records must be updated yearly for students with special dietary needs.
A medical statement must be on file in the Food & Nutrition Services offices for any students. Please find Exhibit B for the form or contact the campus nurse or the Food & Nutrition manager at any of the district campuses.
Mission Statement
The Mission of the HISD Child Nutrition Services is to provide all school children access to healthy, well-balanced meals to increase their ability to learn in the classroom, grow up healthy and to reach their fullest potential.
Our goal is to provide quality food on the serving line all the time, so from the first student we serve to the last, all have a positive school meal experience.
MySchoolBucks Fee Update Starting August 1, 2025
Beginning August 1, the fee for cafeteria credit/debit card payments made through MySchoolBucks will increase to $3.50 per transaction. Payments made by electronic check (e-check) will remain the same. In addition, the maximum payment limit per transaction will increase to $150.
Parents with automatic payments will be notified directly by July 21. For questions, please contact MySchoolBucks Support at 800.803.6755.
As a reminder, families can still make payments directly to the school by cash or check to avoid any service fees. Additionally, because our district participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), all students receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day. Deposits into a child’s cafeteria account are only needed for a la carte items or seconds.Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Child Nutrition Nondiscrimination Statement
Program information may be made available in languages other than English. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication to obtain program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language), should contact the responsible state or local agency that administers the program or USDA’s

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
