Thank you for your interest in substituting for Hondo ISD. The role of the substitute teacher is a challenging one but also very rewarding. As a substitute teacher in our district, we consider you to be an important and integral part of our educational team. Our goal is to work together to provide the best education possible for our most valued asset, our students.
Every school day is important and our intention is to help you make each academic moment count. Essentially, everyone involved will benefit. Teachers are assured that learning will take place in their absence and parents know students will receive a quality learning experience every day.

Substitute Teacher Openings - HISD hires substitutes at specific times in the school year. Openings for Substitutes will be posted in August for the upcoming year, and again mid-year.
