Hondo ISD Maintenance

Regular Hours of operation are 8:00-12:00 & 12:30-3:30

Maintenance has 5 employees who take care of maintenance and grounds keeping for Hondo ISD.

Hondo ISD Transportation

Hondo ISD Transportation Department transported over 750 students on regular bus routes during the 2008-2009 school year.  During the regular school year we have 20 different routes in operation.  Our goal is to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. 

The regular school year routes are:

Route 1:  FM 462N, PM Jackson Trailer Park

Route 2:  Stagecoach Apartments, Hwy 173 South, Hwy 90 East

Route 3:  Hwy 173N as far as San Martin Hills and San Martin Hills

Route 4:  New Fountain

Route 5:  Hwy 90 West, Triple 7 Ranch, Sugar Lake

Route 6:  Quihi, FM 2676, Medina Lake

Route 7:  Kolman Oaks, Lone Oak

Route 8:  Yancey Bus-FM 462S to CR 640,CR 640, CR 7421, CR 545, CR 543 south of CR 544, FM 2200 west of CR 743, CR 743 through Yancey, CR 741 west of CR 743, CR 742.

 Route 9:  Yancey Bus-CR 646, CR 642, FM 462 south of CR 640, CR 732, FM 2200 East of CR 743, CR 744, CR 746, CR 741 east of CR 743, CR 733 , Yancey

Route 10: New Fountain, Special Needs

Route 11: Cross the railroad tracks West of Ave V

Route 12: Cross the railroad tracks Ave M to Ave V

Route 13: Cross the railroad tracks Ave A to Ave M

Route 14: Pearsall (Friday & Sunday)

Route 15: Special Needs Hondo

Route 16: Countryside Mobile Home & RV Park, Hwy 173N past San Martin Hills, Holiday Village.

Route 17: Tuscany Apartments

Route 18: Head Start/PreK Hondo City limits North of Hwy 90

Route 19: Head Start/PreK Hondo City limits South of Hwy 90

Route 20: Medina Ranch Trailer Park, New Fountain Road (West of Hwy 173), Lazy Acres.

Route 23:  PK 5 North of Hwy 90.

All students who wish to ride the school bus must fill out a School Bus Registration Form.  All information must be kept current by the parent of guardian.  It is crucial for Transportation to have a way to contact parents/guardians in case of an emergency.

Bus Evacuation training is done twice a school year.  The first training will be done in the fall, the second in the spring.

Hondo ISD Maintenance and Transportation Department, in an effort to expedite requests, has placed all forms i.e. work orders, bus registration, transportation requests, car request & cancellation forms online. 

First save the form you need to your computer. Second fill in the blanks, and then email it as an attachment to nbryant@hondo.k12.tx.us .  If you do not have access to the internet we will be happy to provide the form to you.
